According to sources who spoke to ESPN on Thursday, Houston Rockets coach Ime Udoka has agreed to a long-term contract deal that will put him among the NBA’s highest-paid coaches.
According to insiders, the transaction is estimated to be around eight figures a year.
After leading Houston to its first top-two seed in the Western Conference in seven years, Udoka was granted an extension. The team finished 52-30 in Udoka’s second season and qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2019–20, but the Golden State Warriors defeated them in seven games in the opening round.
