One of the more interesting performances the midseason showcase has seen in years was the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. The league’s experiment with a three-team USA against. World round-robin tournament, held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, boosted competition over the weekend and gave the exhibition new life.
USA Stars, USA Stripes, and Team World competed in short games instead of the customary East vs. West format, with the top two teams moving on to a championship final. By making every possession count and providing viewers with numerous mini-matchups between the league’s top players, the new format maintained the tension and tempo.
Anthony Edwards Takes Center Stage
The younger-leaning USA Stars team was declared the winners when everything was said and done. Anthony Edwards, the guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, led the way with a sensational performance throughout the tournament and was named the 2026 NBA All-Star MVP.
Edwards finished with 32 points over the games, adding rebounds and assists as he displayed his confidence and explosive scoring. His energy and standout performances solidified him as the night’s most notable player and helped the USA Stars win the final by a wide margin.
