According to reports, Dame Dash lost his businesses and copyrights in order to pay off debt of over $800,000.

According to reports, Dame was compelled to give up his companies and copyrights in order to pay the $823,284 in damages that filmmaker Josh Webber was given in 2022. The money was obtained by Webber from his 2019 lawsuit against Dame for copyright infringement and defamation.

The whole ownership of Dash Films Inc., Bluroc LLC, and Blakroc LLC must be transferred by Dash and his umbrella business, Poppington LLC, according to U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Lehrburger. He must also relinquish his ownership of businesses like Lebanon Improvements LLC, 1996 Songs LLC, and Ocean East Improvements LLC.
