Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, a former hypeman for Fat Joe, filed a shocking complaint against the rapper on Thursday in federal court. Joseph Antonio Cartagena, Dixon’s former employer, is accused of “coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion.” Dixon goes on to say that the hip-hop artist who created hits like “What’s Luv?” became wealthy and well-known while he and his partners purposefully stifled, silenced, and destroyed Dixon’s significant artistic, commercial, and creative contributions—all of which served as the cornerstone of Fat Joe’s career and personal brand. He is requesting damages of up to $20 million.
