Following a fight with stage 4 breast cancer, former MTV VJ Ananda Lewis passed away. She was fifty-two.
Lewis, who was born in San Diego on March 21, 1973, went on to earn his degree from Howard University in 1995. After pursuing a career in entertainment, she was hired to host BET’s Teen Summit. In 1997, she was later employed as a VJ for MTV. Before departing the network in 2001 to host her own talk show, The Ananda Lewis Show, she hosted programs like Hot Zone and Total Request Live.
