According to sources, former Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby was officially released from home detention on June 20 after serving her full one-year term.

Mosby was convicted of two counts of perjury and one count of making false statements on a mortgage application, among other federal crimes. Rather than going to prison, she was given a sentence of three years of supervised release, with the first year being spent under severe home confinement. The judge deviated from the usual sentence guidelines, which might have included 12–18 months in prison, by considering Mosby’s role as a mother and public figure.
