President Trump failed in his attempt to throw out a defamation claim brought by the Exonerated Five (formerly the Central Park Five). The court’s decision on Thursday gets Trump closer to being sued for the things he said about them during last year’s presidential debate against Kamala Harris, but it doesn’t mean the plaintiffs will win their case in the end.
