Another setback in Lil Durk’s well-known murder-for-hire case means he will stay in jail until his next trial.
The Chicago rapper’s most recent request for release was denied by U.S. District Judge Michael Fitzgerald on Monday, who cited the strength of the evidence against him and flight risk.
Durk’s proposed bail package comprised private security, electronic monitoring, 24-hour house confinement, and $4.5 million in cash.
But in his five-page judgment, Judge Fitzgerald voiced doubt about Durks’s intention to appear in court and pointed out that “the proffered funds are only a fraction of the defendant’s net worth.”
