As part of the Trump administration’s efforts to eradicate diversity, equity, and inclusion in the federal government, the Department of Defense’s website no longer features the military biography of Jackie Robinson, who broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball after serving as a 2nd lieutenant in the Army.
In order to eliminate anything that “promote diversity, equity, and inclusion,” Trump directed the Pentagon to search federal websites for news items, videos, images, social media posts, and publications.
